I'm so glad; I'm full of cheer,
I'm going to Girl Scouts this Saturday you know.
We might learn about Juliette Gordon Low.
That must be exciting I said to myself,
You may as well come yourself!
For in this lesson you will find,
A badge just for being kind!

Haley, 8, California (Girl Scout Junior)

I think spring is on the way,
Snow's melting more everyday.
Trees are getting tiny sprouts,
I see more people out and about.
And the birds, they are all in song,
I think that the groundhog was wrong!

Megan, 10, Connecticut (Girl Scout Junior)

The Rainforest

Hear the rain and wild animals,
Colorful and bright,
Home to many mammals,
Recycle and they'll live another night.

Kaitlyn, 9, W.Va. (Girl Scout Junior)

My Colorful World

The whole wide world is blue and green
At least that's what I've heard and seen.
The birds are black, the clouds are white,
And so is the moon in the sky at night.
The flowers are red, and yellow, and pink
At least that's what we tend to think.
The moon and the clouds are the color of snow
And the people make up one big giant rainbow.
With all of this nature and each boy and girl,
Together we make up a colorful world.

Ari, 11, Rhode Island (Girl Scout Junior)

Twinkly brightness as bright as the sun,
You prance on the moon it sure does look fun!
You turn night into day,
But why float away?
Twinkly brightness as bright as the sun,
You prance on the moon it sure does look fun!
Why must you leave during the day?
Don't you wish to play?
You see me at night you say,
Where am I during the day?
I twinkle with glossiness not always in the sky,
Look in the mirror I'm the twinkle in your eye!

Jessie, 11, Mississippi (Girl Scout Junior)
