KIT KITTREDGE dreams about being a “real” news reporter. Growing up during the Great Depression, in a world filled with need and hardship, Kit always looks for the truth (even if it is not the popular choice) and tries to share that story with her community. Kit is resourceful girl whose bravery, compassion and determination help her solve a mystery that saves her family’s home.

Like Kit, we all have a “leader” inside us—something big or small we do that makes a difference. Maybe you helped clean up the local park, collected needed food for a local food pantry, or just befriended the new girl in class. Girl Scouts and Picturehouse wants to reward girls like you, for changing the world. Whatever you did big or small we want to hear how YOU make a difference.
