Dear Dr. M and Molly,
There is a girl in all my classes that is my friend, but she always copies off my paper and I don't want to be rude and yell at her but I also want her to stop. What should I do?

Dear Jessica,
It is not fair to you if you do your work, and then, because your friend copies from you, she gets credit for it also. It will affect her in the long run because she will not know as much as you. You should tell her to stop immediately. The next time when she is copying off of you, you could say "Why didn't you do the work yourself? It isn't really fair that I did it and you get to copy my work. If you don't understand the work, I can help you, but I'm not going to let you copy from me anymore." If she continues to copy from you, tell your teacher. |
