Dear Dr. M and Molly,
I'm addicted to a computer game and I'm glued to the computer for hours! Is this bad?

Dr. M's Answer

Dear Annie,
While it's okay to spend some time playing a computer game, it isn't good to be "glued" to the computer for hours. Start to balance your time on the computer with time for music, reading, art projects and active hobbies such as bike riding or soccer. If you find that you need help breaking away from the computer, set a timer for 15 minutes or a half-hour. When your time's up, walk away and find something else to do that doesn't involve a screen.

Liz's Answer
Dear Annie,
Computer games are very fun, and it is good that you have something that entertains you. You can play this game in your free time, but you shouldn't play this game all the time. You might start to forget about all the other things you like to do. Also, it isn't great to sit in front of a computer all day. You need to go outside and get some physical activity. Don't let this game distract you from your studies and other more important things.
