Dr. M's Answer

Dear Marit,
Lots of kids your age have scary dreams. It would probably help for you to talk to a parent or another adult you trust about those nightmares. Also, think about whether anything in particular is making you nervous before you go to bed. Do you watch scary television shows or is something happening at home that is scaring you? Before going to sleep, think about something pleasant or read a fun book.

Liz's Answer
Dear Marit,
You might be having scary dreams because you really are afraid of a kidnapper, or of something similar. Talk to your parents about the dreams you've been having and about why you might have those fears.
