Dear Dr. M,
My friends Jordan, Kirsten, Shardan, Sarah and I all want to take tap dancing together, but Shardan's mom won't let her go tap dancing. It is hard on us because we can't find another activity we can do together. What should I do?

Dear Laura,
One thing you can do is ask your mom and Jordan's, Kirsten's and Sarah's moms to talk to Shardan's mom. They may be able to find out why she doesn't want Shardan to take tap dancing and maybe help convince her that it's a good idea. If she still doesn't like the idea, maybe she can suggest a different activity for all of you to do together. |
