Dear Dr. M,
I wrote a boy a mean note about how I didn't like him and that he was a jerk, but now I realize how mean it was and I don't know what to do.

Dr. M's Answer

Dear Beth,
Be proud of yourself for recognizing that what you did was not very nice. It's never too late to apologize. Hard as it may be to do that, walk up to this boy and let him know that you should never have written what you now realize was a mean note. This experience might help you in the future to think about the impact of your words before you say or write them, and that's a great lesson for anyone.

Liz's Answer
Dear Beth,
You can write another note to the boy, this time telling him that you're sorry for your first note. Maybe you could even explain to him why you wrote the first note and let him know how you really feel now.
