Dear Dr. M,
I am new to my school and I feel that I am breaking up my new friends, Rachel and Baylee. They used to be best buds, but now Rachel doesn't hang with Baylee because I'm around. Please help.

Dr. M's Answer

Dear Courtney,
It's great that you have already made friends at your new school. You may not be the reason that Rachel and Baylee are no longer best buds, but if you want to try to repair their friendship, figure out a fun activity all three of you can do together and see what happens. In the end, if Rachel and Baylee want to be best friends again, they have to make that decision.

Liz's Answer
Dear Courtney,
Since you're friends with both Rachel and Baylee, you can help them become best friends again. Next time you are going to hang out with one of them, you can invite the other one also. If they know that you want to be friends with both of them and not just one of them, maybe that will help them stay friends and the three of you can be best friends together.
