Dear Dr. M and Liz,
Hey! I have a problem. Sometimes my friends ignore me and act like I am invisible. Just today I asked them to wait for me at school but they just ignored me. Then I said it again and they looked at me and walked away!

Dr. M's Answer

Dear Jean,
If your friends don't want to hang out with you any longer, they should just tell you that instead of giving you the silent treatment. It's no fun feeling invisible, so work up your courage to ask them why you're being ignored. That might open up an honest conversation. If that doesn't happen and you can't figure out what's going on, it may be time to work on making new friends.

Liz's Answer
Dear Jean,
Try to talk to your friends to find out why they're ignoring you. They're probably not doing it to be mean or you wouldn't have become friends with them in the first place. Maybe there's something going on that you don't know about—could they be angry with you for something? You guys need to talk it out so that all of you can continue to be friends.
