Dear Dr. M,
My brother is saying that I am too short to be a sixth-grader. But I just ignore him. Is that the right thing to do?

Dr. M's Answer

Dear Caitlyn,
Your brother's comment doesn't make sense, does it? He's teasing you, which is something siblings do to each other. But that doesn't make it right. You can either tell him calmly that what he's saying is not true or you can ignore him. Both ways are better than teasing him back.

Liz's Answer
Dear Caitlyn,
The answer is yes. Your brother is just being mean. Ignoring him is the best way to deal with him.
